Safe Sippy Cups

We are all very aware of the BPA issue in baby bottles, but are those sippy cups you're using BPA free? I just came across this blog that lists safer sippy cups. The good news is that most of the popular brands are on here!

What is your favorite sippy cup for your tots?

  1. C learned with the Take n Toss (not that we tossed them -lol). I liked that they came in a really short version. It made it easy for him. Then we moved to the Playtex First Sipster. I love the side handles. After that we got the Playtex Coolster. They look so grown-up that sometimes people freak out and think he got a hold of my coffee. Oh, and I like the Nuby basic tumbler too, because you can use it with or without the top. It's nice when they are ready for big kid cups, but occasionally need a top when they are being silly and sticking their hands in or dunking thing that ought not be dunked.

  2. Take and Toss cups w/ straws are my go-to sippy as well (and of course, I don't toss!). Anything with a valve or required too much sucking messed with e's latch and caused me pain, so I learned fast!

  3. I didn't know they have straw versions (but I just googled it)! We used these puppies http://www.learningcurve.com/product/detail/Y1192A4?locale=en_US Because they are so short it make learning to tip them easier for C. The other cool thing is they are the exact same as their snack bowls but with different lids, which helped with cabinet organization. They do leak and the lids pop off if (scratch that) when they are thrown on the floor. They were still good for learning with water.

  4. Oh yea- I have seen those- I loved how they were little and short! I bet I could cut some of my straws and use them on those littler cups since they all seem to be interchangeable! Man, I sure wish I would have thought of that a long time ago! Having short cups isn't that big of a deal anymore, but might come in handy.
